PREAMBLE:

This lesson marks exactly 7 days since the Top of the Head Awareness Training was unleashed upon this mortal world.

For those of you who have stuck to your homework assignment and worked Top of Head Awareness Training...you know what all the fuss was about.

IF you haven't put the time in on this special technique...well, it's not too late...it's never too late...to get started. All you have to do is play back Lesson 7. Everything you need to know is waiting for you.

This lesson number 8 marks a big, big step out of the box for most people. Today you are going to start to get into the explicit interaction of your intention with your attention...with the Cosmic Sky Energy.

PLUS, you are going to get a heaping helping of cautionary tutelage: What TO do, and most decidely what NOT to do during your practice of these VERY potent skills of vital life force energy.

The process of doing gets easier over time, too. And the body and mind get habituated to the process...so that just thinking about doing your practice becomes enough to start the response from your body and mind...and the settling of your awareness, deeper and deeper.

This is what all the current scientific research tells us about habituation to Deep Meditation. You begin to develop a skill of awareness of awareness, and with that comes a facility to direct and engage that awareness in some very interesting areas of self-development.

I think that what can happen to many of us...modern life holds so many interesting diversions, and many are NOT accustomed to formal discipline of daily practice of anything...let alone esoteric skills as taught in this course on Deep Meditation.

Plus...there are the very real demands on your time from work, transit, family...and if you have young children, it is not so easy to duct tape them to a chair and put a gag in their mouth so that you can go and do your quiet time. The kids might suffer some sort of trauma...from such treatment.

(Seriously, that's a joke, okay?)

That is why we have the offering of practice in cracks of time. And these cracks of time open up all throughout a normal day in the life. It is in those cracks of time that can last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes (or longer) when you can practice some of the rich and royal skills that you are learning.

In this lesson, you are going to notice that we are getting closer and closer to learning how to guide and direct the vital life force energy...in very specific ways.

As you will discover...you are going to be able to use this skill for a variety of very useful purposes. More about all this in future lessons.

Now let's get cracking!

SUPER POWER BREATHING ENHANCEMENT:


Alright, let's get started!

IF you feel like you need to void your bladder and or bowels...this is the time to go and do it. Don't worry, just pause this video...I'll wait for you.

By now you have worked your way up to doing the deep breathing exercise...expanding your chest as you breath in, and, at the same time, pulling your belly to your spine.

And you also have been giving the chest that extra push outward, and the belly that extra pull in to the spine...right?

And you've been adding one extra repetition each day...and by now you can probably see how this is going to bring you more health and vitality...just from simple deep breathing.

Now we are going to add the next step in this process of deep breathing.

So, sit upright, feet flat on the floor, head and neck free and clear, not leaning against anything.

OF if you are going to do this standing up...great...feet flat on the floor, shoulder width apart.

OR if you are lying down...lie straight, maybe put a pillow under your knees...and have your head supported by one firm pillow, not too big, either. You don't want to have your head and neck tilted.

Okay, okay...we're ready to start.

So...like in the last lesson...breath in, expanding your chest outward and up...and at the same time...see if you can get it to happen at the same time...begin to pull your belly button closer and closer to your spine.

Now, when you reach the point where you can't go any further, give your chest one little bit of an extra push out and up, and give your belly one little bit more of a pull into your spine.

And before you let the breath out...pull your belly into your spine with 3 definite pulls: One, two, three.

Just like that: 1, 2, 3...
...quick little pulls of your belly into your spine...one after the other.

And now...let your body relax...let your chest fall, and your belly release and let go, and let the breath come out of your body...very good.

Now, let's do that all over again.

Breath in...expand the chest out and up, pull the belly to the spine...good, now a bit more out and up in the chest...try and push those ribs a bit more, see if you can explode your ribcage...good...and give the belly one extra pull into the spine...good, and now, give me three extra belly pulls...one, two, three...good.

And let it all go. Just let it all empty and deflate.

Ready?
Let's do it again.
Breath in...bust your ribs...pull the belly in...give it the extra push and pull...and now...three belly pulls in a row: 1, 2, 3!

Let it all go.
Now, breath in...repeat...do the three extra belly pulls...

Let's do 3 more!

One,

Two,

Three!

Okay, that's enough.
Now, sit down if you've been standing...sit upright, not slouching, feet flat on the floor, CLOSE YOUR EYES, and let your awareness experience the breath coming in and out of your body.

HUMBLE ANCIENT SOUND
AWARENESS TECHNIQUE

Let's begin with this super special ancient sound:

Good, now you join me...let's start at our normal voice volume, like we are having a quiet conversation with someone else.

SKILL OF VITAL LIFE FORCE ENERGY:

Now, let your awareness move to the top of your head...as you breath in...experience your awareness experiencing the presence of the top of your head....

And as you breath out...experience the presence of the sky above.

Now, as you breath in, pull your awareness in through the top of your head...

...and as you breath out...experience your awareness experiencing the presence of the sky above.

Breath in...feel the top of your head...

...breath out...feel the sky above.

Continue.
(1 minute)

Very good.

At first, the presence of the sky above might seem quite vague, even impossible to experience other than as an abstract concept...yes, I know there is some sky above my head...but, I don't FEEL it's presence.

Not like you FEEL the presence of the ground that you are standing on. There is the pressure of your own body weight to remind you of the existence of the ground below.

But even that...presence of the Earth below you...can also seem quite abstract, too.

Let's continue:

Breath in, feel the top of your head.
Breath out, feel the presence of the sky above.

Again, breath in, feel the presence of the top of your head.
Breath out, and notice the presence of the sky above you...let your awareness experience the sky above.

Continue...breath in, breath out, continue...
(1 minute)

Very good.

Now let go of all that.

And this time as you breath in, with your awareness, experience the presence of the top of your head.

And as you breath out, experience the presence of the palms of your hands.

Breath in...feel the top of your head.
Breath out...feel the palms of your hands.

Continue...
(2 minutes)

Good, very good.
Now bring the palms of your hands to your belly, and rest the palms of your hands on your belly.
Good.
Now, as you breath in, feel the top of your head...
and as you breath out...feel the presence of the palms of your hands...

...Notice the warmth of the palms of your hands coming into the skin of your belly.

Now, breath in...experience the presence of the top of your head.

Breath out, feel the palms...experience the warmth of the palms of your hands moving into the skin of your belly.

Good.
Now continue breathing in this way...
(2 minutes)

Very good!

Now, let's take lots of time to open the eyes...slowly.

IF it feels too soon, take longer to open the eyes. Rub your face and your head with your hands...open the eyes looking down...a little bit at a time.
(1 minute)
Very good.

Okay.

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT:

  • Add one repetition each day to the deep breathing
  • Add the 3X belly-pull that you learned today to each repetition of your deep breathing
  • Practice the sitting breathing with awareness training...no special way to breath...just easy does it
  • Practice the abdominal breathing technique
  • Meditate silently with the Humble Ancient Sound from today's lesson:

  • Meditate once in the morning and once in the early evening
  • IF you can't fit that in, meditate while you fall asleep
  • IF you can't do that...meditate for a few minutes...sitting down, eyes closed.
  • Use the Humble Ancient Sound throughout your busy day
  • Hum the sound...or think it silently...as you wish
  • Practice the skill of vital life force energy that you learned in today's lesson
  • You can add it in after you do the meditation...this is a very good time to do it
  • OR...do it separately
  • Do it as you learned it today
  • OR...just the last part...breath in, top of head...breath out, feel the palms on the belly
