I know, I know...this is just such a controversial idea...especially as a Lesson of the Day.
Here's the thing...I am going to go right ahead and start quoting some scripture. And it is about this basic disconnect that seems to happen for most people who are into The Holy Bible.
I am going to get right into this, zeroing in early on in The Bible...right in Genesis. Okay, here we go:
So...as you can see...I've made some highlights to emphasize the irrefutable fact that this basic statement is really inside The Holy Bible.
And, yeah...I've read plenty of explanations about why this doesn't mean what it says it means. And, yeah...I've listened to sermons that clearly tell me how this business about you being a god...or---gasp!---that you are God...is a dangerous bunch of New Age horse whipple...at best---and at worst is the evil work of The Enemy, designed to fill your vain head with self-destructive self-worship.
Okay, fair enough. But there it is...plain as plain can be. And even Jesus says it...right?
Anyway, for those of you who aren't all invested in The Holy Bible...and this is starting to seem silly...a debate among people arguing about the correct interpretation of some dialogue in a Marvel super-hero comic book---I totally get that.
Here are the instructions on how-to do this Lesson of the Day:
