OR: Why Does GOD Hate You So Much?

As I sit here writing this article to you...I am wondering what you're gonna make of the title and sub-title.
What exactly is a Poochy Bear?
I am glad you asked.
A Poochy Bear is a term that you can apply to a very cute kid...or to a situation that is fraught with stress and evil darkness.
A Poochy Bear could be a flat tire on a rainy, cold night, out on a deserted road, without any functioning spare tire, and your five, hungry kids in the vehicle, and one of them is sick with the projectile vomit influenza...or it could be a generous second helping of your favourite main dish...like a really good cheese burger.
So the entire Poochy Bear thing can either be something really quite wonderful and super positive...or it can be diametrically opposite to anything remotely nice.
When it comes to God Consciousness, and getting yourself on the telephone with The Creator of The Universe(s), Poochy Bears can be that part of you that just plain is in denial about the entire transaction.
You might want to call this...DOUBT.
I doubt it.

Okay, okay...the Poochy Bear reference is part of the situation I am in, right now. And it has to do with...wait for it...MONEY!
And the sub-title is a way to catch your attention, and get you here...to this part of the article.
I know that when you give me money to keep this project going, you are going to LOVE the results that will flow your way. Consider this a bribe. It doesn't mean you won't get great stuff IF you don't shell out some dinero my way...for the project to continue.
NOTHING can stop The God Consciousness Project (TGCP) from oozing through the cracks.

Yes, I am asking YOU for help...real money, and right now.
WHY?
Because I am out of dough-ray-me, and I have some specific bills to pay that relate to The God Consciousness Project. And when I get down and dirty, and go deep inside, the words that are being typed...right now...are coming from that special place where God and who ever I am meet up.
I have some bills to pay to keep the website up and running. Yeah, sure, I've cut back and sliced and diced what I can...but the bottom line is the webhosting account is overdue, and I had some personal money dry up and blow away.
I have some spinal cord injury issues, and I haven't been able to work and earn money, so the simple cause and effect is...no cash flow. This means the bills I normally cover have not been paid.

As I review the top websites that come up when I type the question into my Google search bar...I quickly come to realize that the answers are coming from Christian websites.And the drop-down box reveals that this question has some similar questions being asked by real, flesh and blood people. Here is an example:
Are you wondering why any of this is important to you? It is...so hang in there while I roll this out for you.
What you have clunking around in the deeper parts of what makes you tick...you know, that part of you that is often well-hidden from you---the sub-conscious part? Well, it's called sub-conscious for a good reason. It is inside you, out of your normal, conscious awareness.

AND the way you've been programmed about GOD has a lot to do with the implants you've received in your formative years, via the stuff put inside YOU by the main Survival Figures in your life.
Hey, don't get all lost here...don't doze out on me. The Survival Figure is a big deal. Usually this list is a simple one:
- Mother
- Father
- OR similar substitutes (adopted parents)
Here is the main point: What you think and feel about GOD may not be fully realized on the conscious level of your thinking and feeling. You may NOT know why you think and feel the way that you do about GOD.
IN fact...you may not "believe" in God because you are in a basic and fundamental connection of understanding...coming from your subconscious training received during your early years.
This is the stuff you soaked up as you grew up.
I know that when I was young, I had this thing about how I didn't "believe" in God or the Devil. I am told that I loudly proclaimed this to my neighbourhood when I was a tyke. Stood at my front door, and yelled it out, "I don't believe in God...or the Devil!"
And this position continued on until I was about 17 to 18 years old.
I was introduced to a specific form of meditation that I began to regularly practice...at the age of 15, back in 1971. At the time, I was very sure that there was no such thing as God...or the Devil.
Yeah, stone-cold atheist.
Anyway, let's fast-forward this to the Big Moment...in 1985...when I had my first crystal clear experience of God Consciousness. Man, that was a complete game-changer for me.
And I am going to give you a tour of this in the next article I write in this series.
Meanwhile...
...Yeah, sure, BEFORE this first telephone call from God, I'd had some BIG cosmic consciousness experiences, and some of the other stuff, too. What do I mean? Well, I had clunked around with meditation for a few years...and had some nice experiences of quietness and silence---plus deep inner rest. And I thought I knew what "transcending" was, too.
Until one day in the summer of 1977...
...I was on a 7 day residence course in the Gatineaus, in LaBelle Province (Quebec, Canada), and I was quietly meditating, minding my own business...when---POW!---I was on this elevator ride...no, that's not even close...it was like the bottom dropped out and I fell, awareness first...deep, deep, deeper and then past all deepness---into this state of awareness that was V-A-S-T beyond all measure.
Hey, it was great.
I had my first true taste of transcendental consciousness. And this is sometimes described as the fourth major state of consciousness...right after waking, dreaming and sleep state of consciousness.
In the knowledge tradition I was involved with, the idea of consciousness...was that each of these states of consciousness was distinct and measurable from each other state. And that you can measure these differences by comparing such things as oxygen consumption, galvanic skin response...all the metabolic functions, right on up to the way your brain is doing.
And that when you hit escape velocity (my words) and enter into the fourth state of consciousness...you will exhibit specific physiological (and all the other ogical) types of behaviour.
The idea behind all this is that you are going to EVOLVE into a better version of who you are. And this is going to happen because you are going to have access to more of your natural potential as a human being...and as a spiritual being, too.
The basic premise is that the entire material creation is actually an expression of consciousness...and that at some finer level, all of the physical merges into this transcendental field of being.
Now, if you are a stone-cold, born-again, Christian fundamentalist...this will all smack of dangerous new age mumbo-jumbo-jets. And believe me, I get it.
I really do.
Well, let's put this into a context that even the most ardent followers of the current conservative Christianity can get that little moment of, "Oh, okay...I see what you mean. That makes sense."

I am going to leave this article...for now. I am going to return to the basic idea...in the next one...which is going to be about something called "Unconditional Love."
