What Is The Lesson of the Day? And Why Bother?

by
Robert Farmilo

I thought it was about time to spend a few moments describing to you the importance of doing the lesson of the day, and why I bother to take any time at all to make these articles, post them and check to see what's going on with the people who are making use of these lessons.

You know we have a world-wide community of people who are chasing God Consciousness. This is a multi-faith group that spans all the usual suspects:
  • Muslims
  • Buddhists
  • Christians
  • Pagans
  • Agnostics
  • Atheists
  • And everybody else
Now, all these people are NOT necessarily involved in this specific God Consciousness project. But they are all involved in the practice of faith.

Even atheists have a belief. And they have faith, too. Maybe it's a faith in a law of nature, such as gravity or hot and cold...or something as mumbo-jumbo-ish as faith in the fact that there is no God.

Oh, and about that list (above)...
...That doesn't mean everyone on that list...that they all necessarily believe or think that they are God...OR that God can directly communicate with them...OR that they can telepathically think with God.

Not a lot of people will actively consider a think-link with God...is possible, let alone probable. And as far as being okay with being God...? Forget about it!

That's just too far out.

Nevertheless...this next quote might come in handy:
"Treat everyone you meet as if they are God in drag."

The ongoing Lesson of the Day series will give you a specific thought-construct to use throughout your day...into the evening...and while you fall asleep. And if you wake up during the night, you can associate your mental activity, AKA, your thoughts, with these very simple thought-constructs.

Usually each thought-construct will be one, two, three...sometimes four words...and maybe up to five words long.

The regular use of the thought-constructs will be strengthen your mind and heart connection, and help to physically improve the functioning of your brain. You will become smarter and at the same time, leverage your time by attracting yourself to your natural tendency to want to feel good...to feel free, and to feel growth.

The other HUGE benefit from practicing each Lesson of the Day...is...you are directly engaging in being with God...and focusing on God...and attracting yourself to God Consciousness. This will really catch some traction as you practice regularly...and regular practice is very important.

Regular practice creates a momentum, and that helps to keep the process going...and bring you tangible results that you are going to love having taking root in your daily life.

Here's the thing...it is inevitable that you are going to have some moment when you are going to hit a wall...so to speak...and have some rough time...when you feel like shit about something. Maybe you're going to get sucked into some argument, have a feeling explode inside yourself that is negative and horrible...whatever...let's face it, you are going to most likely have some sucky moments when you are crippled by feelings and thoughts that are grotesque.

And you can't always sit and close your eyes and meditate...or pray...or whatever. But you can stick with the Lesson of the Day...and deliberately repurpose your thought-parade...by inserting these simple thought-constructs.

This builds skill in action...which is such a boon, and such a blessing...as you will discover IF you practice this regularly.

Oh, sure...you'll get immediate benefits if you do it sporadically...one day here...part of a day there. But when you take this on...seriously...and really get into it...dedicate yourself to it...that's when you'll get some gripping traction...and some momentum...and some take-off speed built up...and...wow!

==> He is gone now!

So this thinking of these simple thought-constructs serves your hunger for self-perfection that drives you every minute of every day that you take another breath. It's just the way it is. And you may not like the idea that you are hungry for self-perfection...for a more positive, happier, ever-more-joyous state of consciousness...but that is the situation.

This is the natural tendency...and you are bound to it as it is to you. And that is just the way it is.

Why?

The reason is built in to the FACT that God made everything so that God could experience God experiencing God. And God wants to know God knowing God. It is a vast, cosmic conspiracy of ever repeating coming to enlightenment...and knowing that "I Am That I Am."

As you progress through your own unique version of this journey to knowing that you are that, and all this is that...and I AM...there will be times when you just don't believe it, at all. The secure and assuredness will be...gone. And in it's place will be doubts and confusion and hurt and pain and suffering and sorrow and grumpiness and ugly, disfigured thoughts, feelings, images, actions...and so on.

The regular practice of the daily lessons will help you to keep these times of desolate misery as brief as possible...without losing the powerful lessons contained within each of these times of personal, emotional, physical and spiritual suffering.

For it is very true that within the process of growth...caused by such ugly horror...there is often pain of some sort or another. Growth is often painful. To push through a previously cherished entrenchment can be...hard...difficult...painful. To let go of some important protective delusion can be...very difficult.

To grow can be counter-intuitive...just not something we necessarily want to do. Especially if we have to get out of a warm, cosy bed to do it.

Please share these daily lessons with as many people as possible.
And let them know about the book, "God Consciousness," written directly by God.
