Lesson of the Day (03062016)

by
Robert Farmilo

This lesson of the day uses the idea of thinking thoughts while you are awake and active in your busy daily life. Today's lesson features a beautiful thought-construct: "Holy Spirit of God."

Remember the process...of how to use the thought-construct so as NOT to create a strain or a struggle within your own mind...within your own personality. This is NOT a method of beating your mind into submission...or of mood-making.

What this means is we do NOT:
  • Try to focus on a specific emotion while doing the practice
  • Attempt to project a definition of the thought-construct upon our intellect
  • Become absorbed in a deliberate contemplation of association with the interpretation of what this thought-construct might mean
The technique of how to practice this daily lesson is to keep it very simple:
  • Let your awareness experience the thought-construct
  • When you notice that you are NOT with the thought-construct, just let your mind be easily with the thought-construct
  • When the thought-construct dwindles and leaves your awareness, that's normal. Do NOT try and hold on and force your mind (you can't anyway, even if you do try...when your mind moves on, it...moves on)
  • IT is very normal to have the co-existence of the thought-construct along with other thoughts and feelings
Today's lesson is going to include the addition of a specific breathing process to accompany the practice of being with the thought-construct. Please join me in the next article in this series to find out how that works...and plays, too.

All the Best!
