The Ancient Desert Fathers of the Syrian Desert invested every ounce of attention and focus that they could squeeze from their corporeal carcasses. The barest nutritional needs, and NO Posturpedic Adjustable Beds. No internet, and NO handy side-walk café.
The day and night were reserved for the devotion so complete and absorbing that after enough watches of the night, and the oh-so compelling stories of encounters with all nature of heavenly and otherwise---YES, I am serious.
Thus the force of your prayer can do what no one else can EVER do. Focus in a specific and localized observation, and you're looking for whatever is going on that sucks or could do with a new coat of paint, or the nail heads that need pounding in, and the brakes on the car that need fixing, but there's no money to fix the brakes, and the car insurance is coming up, and there's no money in the bank account to pay it. And then what? The list goes on, and it just goes on and on and on.
You got to pray on it all, as it comes into YOUR Observable Universe. What you see and hear, and the ambushing that happens to you by people who are emotionally insecure, and need to FREAK OUT a lot to keep themselves purposely sick...and then BLAME you for their insanity. These kind of people typically NEVER can really be pleased, NOT for long. They are addicted to drama, and really only feel secure when they've got you wired in to the insanity reality.
And it starts to seem normal, this hostile and malicious spiritual environment. And yet, this is where the really good material is to be found. AND it is here that you can prove the POWER of just one person praying using the method gained from THE Lesson of JOB---

Pray knowledge...pray to know what to do...exactly what to do, and how, and when, and every little bit of the details---ENDING up with you getting that BIG estate, overlooking The Ocean. You pray to know the person you need to meet to make it all happen. You pray to know the person you need to give you a high-paying job. You pray to know how to make a lot of money in a big hurry. Keep praying for what you need to know.
Pray a lot of stuff, in all the usual niches:
- Family
- Work
- Friends
- Health
- Money
- World Peace
- All the bad stuff that happens
- Pray to know GRATITUDE (for example)
---90 seconds of "I AM."
Get your Prayer Request ready. Make the words few, right to the point. The less, the better. ALWAYS go with, "I pray to KNOW---" and be very careful with this...don't hesitate to whittle away at the words---Less is More.
IF you are out of line with The Hosts of Heaven, you are going to get a very clear but subtle sense of the Trespass. Don't keep that up. Turn the prayer on itself, and ask to know what's going on, what do you need to know to RESONATE with Heaven?
When the knowledge is given to you, strike while the iron is hot. Authorize yourself to take immediate action...give yourself a command to do whatever it is that is to be...done...and do it---OBEY yourself. This WILL connect deep inside you---to the source of Will Power---FREE Will.

I don't usually reminisce about living in primitive conditions. The purpose of life is to survive by becoming more powerful and survivable, not to adopt a simple life in harmony with nature and all the things that want to eat you.
