LESSON OF THE DAY: BREATH IN AND OUT THROUGH THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD

When you read the title of this lesson of the day, it can sound kind of crazy.

This is one of the simple methods from the skills of vital energy. 


There is no mood making or other types of emotional engineering required. 

You don't have to believe in it. 

In fact, it works best if you do it with out any anticipation or expectation of any effect or result.

Let's get started.

(You can do this technique standing or sitting.)

CLOSE YOUR EYES.

1. With your awareness, experience the breath coming and coming out of your body. Do this for a few minutes (one, two, three minutes).

2. Shift your awareness to experience the presence of the top of your head. If you are new to doing this, please refer to this specific Lesson of the Day >>> FEEL THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD

3. With your awareness, begin to experience the presence of the sky above the top of your head. Continue doing this for a few minutes.
NEXT:

4. As you breath in, with your awareness, begin to breath in through the top of your head. Experience your awareness moving from the sky above into the top of your head.
5. As you breath out, with your awareness, begin to breath out through the top of your head. Experience your awareness moving from the top of your head to the sky above your head.
6. Continue in this way for some time. You can do this for five, ten, twenty minutes. The length of time you do this depends on several factors.

7a. When you are ready to stop moving your awareness from the inside of the top of your head to the sky above, place the palms of your hands on your belly.

7b. Place your the palms of your hands on your belly, just below your belly button.

7c. Shift your awareness to experience the presence of the palms of your hands on your belly.

7d. With your awareness, experience the warmth of the palms of your hands on your belly.

7e. With your awareness, experience the presence of the space between your belly button and the base of your spine. Do this for several minutes.

8. Slowly open the eyes. Take your time to open your eyes. 

IF you feel dizzy or woozy, close your eyes and wait until you the weird feeling passes.
NOTE:
It is possible that you will have some rather strong physical sensations during your practice of this technique.

IF the sensations become too strong, skip to step 7a.

Once the strong sensations have stopped, you can continue breathing in and out through the top of your head. When you are ready to stop, make sure you do all the steps outlined in step 7.
